Cavac is a French agricultural cooperative group founded in 1965 and rooted in Vendée, Deux-Sèvres and nearby areas. It brings together 4,730 member farms and more than 1,700 employees, connecting local producers with customers through activities spanning agriculture, food processing and bio-based materials. The group aims to support fertile agriculture that respects living systems, while strengthening local supply chains and creating shared value for farmers and the wider region.
Its four business areas cover plant production, animal production, distribution and agro-transformation. Cavac develops contracted crop chains, including field crops, seeds, vegetables and organic agriculture, and works across livestock sectors such as cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry and rabbits, as well as animal nutrition. Through Cavac Distribution, it operates Gamm vert, Gamm vert Village and AgriVillage stores serving both consumers and farmers with local advice.
Its processing activities include food businesses and natural, bio-based materials. Cavac also supports farm establishment and succession, and highlights commitments to biodiversity, climate adaptation, animal welfare and the future of farming in its territory
