COOPERA es una asociación gremial compuesta por siete de las Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito de Chile: Ahorrocoop, Capual, Coopeuch, Coocretal, Detacoop, Lautaro Rosas y Oriencoop. Nuestro objetivo es promover el crecimiento conjunto y fomentar el modelo cooperativo en el país, el que actualmente cuenta con más de un millón de socios. La cooperativas que integran Coopera cuentan con la supervisión de la Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF) y el Departamento de Cooperativas del Ministerio de Economía, Fomento y Turismo, instituciones que garantizan a los socios una gestión eficiente, además de velar por el buen funcionamiento del sistema financiero.

About COOPERA
Coopera is the Association of Credit and Savings Cooperatives supervised by the Financial Market Commission (CMF). Established in May 2012, its mission is to showcase a different type of financial institution based on cooperation for the common good. Coopera's cooperatives offer savings and credit services to various segments of the population, promoting financial inclusion for those who traditionally lack access to such services through other systems.
Unlike traditional banks, cooperatives have members instead of customers, allowing individuals to participate in the cooperative's ownership. Moreover, the Cooperatives associated with Coopera are closely supervised by the CMF, ensuring that they operate in accordance with the General Banking Law and safeguard the interests of depositors and other creditors. Coopera actively contributes to financial education through its participation in the Inclusion and Financial Education Table (MIEF) and supports initiatives that promote cooperative values and principles for the well-being of society
