Cooperativa San Gaetano

San Gaetano Thiene Cooperativa Sociale is a type B social cooperative founded on April 1, 1989, by volunteers responding to social needs in the local community. Based in Thiene, Italy, it supports the social and working inclusion of people experiencing physical or psychological difficulties, with rehabilitation through work at the heart of its mission. The cooperative promotes solidarity, collaboration, friendship, and quality of life, while challenging prejudice and encouraging people with disabilities to participate actively in community life.

Its approach combines group activities, work, personal relationships, and everyday routines to support each person’s development. Services include disability support, school-to-work programs, solidarity projects, initiatives under the Municipality of Thiene’s social pact, and work placements. For businesses, the cooperative provides contract assembly services and mechanical processing.

Its work is supported by employees, members, volunteers, and people participating in social inclusion programs. San Gaetano also welcomes community support through donations and Italy’s five-per-thousand tax contribution. The cooperative is located on Via Santa Caterina da Siena in Thiene
