All while allowing the small operators the freedom to control their destiny, and maintain their community roots. Additionally, CNS owns and manages one of the state's largest fiber-optic backhaul networks. This 1,200 mile network is capable of 100Gbps and connects hundreds of thousands of users ever second of every day with redundant, protected voice and data connectivity. Our ownership consists exclusively of cooperative telecommunications providers. About Cooperative Network Services
Cooperative Network Services (CNS) is a brand dedicated to improving the rural broadband experience and helping you take control of your destiny. Started in 2008 by a group of cooperative telephone companies in North Central Minnesota, CNS has now grown to encompass 20 cooperative telephone companies serving areas in Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, and South Dakota. At CNS, we provide a range of services to our members and the telecommunications industry.
This includes IP/TDM Transport, Wholesale Internet Bandwidth, Engineering, Consulting, Marketing Management, Video Product Management, Human Resources, and Graphic Design services. We also leverage the combined purchasing power of our members to provide outsourced services. As a cooperative organization, CNS reflects the cooperative spirit and values of its owners.
