About South African Council for Graduates
The South African Council for Graduates (SACGRA) is a graduate's council established to grow a high calibre of youth and advance graduate cooperatives as viable economic entities. Their aim is to fast track job creation, attract foreign direct investment, and facilitate skills transfer to stimulate the economy in municipalities and rural areas. As a council, SACGRA provides skills development innovation, support, monitoring, and evaluation in line with the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998 and the National Skills Development Strategy.
They are a member of the Presidential Youth Working Group, advising the President on matters related to youth policy implementation. SACGRA advocates strongly for the growth of a high calibre of youth and the advancement of graduates. They offer services such as hosting graduates, employers, and sponsors on their database.
Additionally, they provide resources such as videos, events, and opportunities for internships, job fit assessments, employment vacancies, and bursaries. By focusing on skills development and economic transformation, SACGRA plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of South Africa's workforce and ensuring the success of young graduates
