CoopCat is the representative organization for cooperatives in Catalonia. As the highest body of interaction with the administration, CoopCat brings together, leads, and represents the cooperative movement in Catalonia, in accordance with the cooperative principles of the International Cooperative Alliance. They work towards articulating, facilitating, and defending the common interests of cooperatives before the administration and public opinion.

CoopCat promotes the principles and values of cooperatives as an alternative business action for progress and social transformation. They provide knowledge and education to society and cooperatives, enabling them to contribute effectively to the development of cooperatives. Additionally, CoopCat coordinates and organizes services of common interest for cooperatives and federations, fostering intercooperation among sectors and branches.

CoopCat's ultimate goal is to create more wealth, well-being, justice, solidarity, and sustainability through participation, democratic management, and cooperation. With their efforts, they have contributed to the creation of 40,884 jobs
