COOPSSOL Brasil is a cooperative of sociologists founded on the principles of solidarity, self-management and collective work. Marking 19 years of activity, the organization works within Brazil’s solidarity and popular economy, bringing together cooperative members and engaging with public institutions, social movements, researchers, workers and community organizations. Its activities include projects and services focused on social development and professional qualification.
The cooperative’s work includes social diagnostics, as demonstrated by its assessment for the PAC Barnabé project, and courses and training programs recognized by clients for their technical quality and positive contribution to professional development. COOPSSOL also participates in national events and initiatives related to the popular and solidarity economy, including the National Festival of Popular and Solidarity Economy and the Paul Singer Program for Popular and Solidarity Economy Agents. With a headquarters in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, and a regional office in João Pessoa, Paraíba, COOPSSOL combines sociological expertise with a cooperative approach to supporting projects and strengthening solidarity-based economic activity
