Cooperativa Sociale Villa Maria

Cooperativa Sociale Villa Maria is a nonprofit social cooperative based in Calliano, in the province of Trento, Italy. It supports people with psychological and physical difficulties through social, educational, health and inclusion services. Its care offerings include residential and semi-residential socio-health services, residential social-care support, daytime inclusion programmes, school assistance and educational interventions in the home. The cooperative also provides physiotherapy and rehabilitation in water, and promotes inclusive activities that help people develop skills and participate in community life.

Villa Maria’s projects extend beyond care settings. “Io Abito” gives people with disabilities the chance to spend extended periods away from their family homes and experience residential life with peers. “Mi Coltivo” connects social inclusion with social farming, while StudioUP offers educational support to reinforce learning and build competencies. The cooperative also runs summer programmes in collaboration with local municipalities and provides opportunities for volunteering, internships and civil service. Through its services and partnerships, Villa Maria works with individuals, families and community networks to shape support around each person’s needs.
