About COP29 Azerbaijan
COP29 Azerbaijan, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, is led by the Presidency of Azerbaijan. The Presidency's focus is on enhancing ambition and enabling action through deep emission reductions and sustainable finance mechanisms. Azerbaijan is committed to a green energy transition, with plans to increase renewable power capacity to 30% by 2030 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2050.
