Copenhagen Carnival is a cultural event celebrating the music, dance, and folk traditions of communities from around the world. Held across Copenhagen from June 5 to 14, 2026, the festival brings together more than 500 artists from 15 countries for free concerts, dance shows, workshops, talks, and a traditional carnival parade.
The program opens with a lively Brazilian-inspired street party in Nørrebro, led by a samba orchestra of more than 150 musicians and dancers. In the city center, the World Carnival Parade and street performances fill Strøget with music, movement, and colorful costumes. Weekday talks and workshops invite audiences to explore music, dance, identity, and artistic collaboration. The final weekend transforms Enghaveparken into a gathering place featuring 30 stage shows, ground performances, an open dance floor, dance workshops, and international street food.
