The Copernicus Center is a Chicago event and cultural venue in Jefferson Park, supported by the Copernicus Foundation, a nonprofit serving the city since 1971. The Foundation’s mission centers on supporting Chicago’s Polish community, Northwest Side neighborhoods, and multicultural arts and entertainment. The Center presents concerts, theater performances, educational workshops, cultural programming, and community events for audiences of all ages.
Its annual Taste of Polonia Festival, held over four days during Labor Day weekend, is billed as the largest Polish music festival. It features live music across four stages, cultural activities, a children’s zone, local vendors, craft beer, and Polish food. The restored 1930s-style theater and modern loft-style Annex are among the Center’s distinctive event spaces, alongside King’s Hall, a lobby, and classrooms.
These venues accommodate performances, meetings, weddings, classes, and other gatherings. The Center also offers venue rentals and catering and event services, as well as ticketed programming. Visitors can attend recurring events, support the Foundation through donations or membership, and explore scholarship and volunteer opportunities
