Fainting Goat Spirits is a family-owned craft distillery in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, founded by the Norman family. What began as experiments with a small still grew into a local operation led by Master Distiller Andrew and Executive Chef Bill. The distillery produces its spirits on site, using North Carolina-grown grain from a family farm in Union County, with barley excepted. After aging at an offsite rickhouse, the spirits return to the distillery for bottling.
Its lineup includes Tiny Cat Vodka, Emulsion Gin, Fisher’s American Single Malt Whiskey, Fisher’s Straight Rye Whiskey, Fisher’s Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon and Fisher’s Distiller’s Reserve. The range features aged whiskeys, including a four-year single malt, a five-year rye and a six-year Bottled-in-Bond bourbon, alongside award-winning vodka and gin.
Visitors can shop for bottles Tuesday through Saturday, with tastings and cocktail service on Fridays and Saturdays. Fainting Goat Spirits also offers special private tastings and events. Its products are available at the distillery and in North Carolina ABC stores; shipping is not available under current state liquor laws.
