Copper Roots 177

Copper Roots 177 is an Arizona nonprofit dedicated to sharing and preserving local culture. With family roots in Superior and communities along Arizona Highway 177, its team brings residents and visitors together through an annual Día de los Muertos celebration honoring loved ones who have passed. The event offers a welcoming, memorable experience and continues to grow with support from local businesses, collaborators, family, and friends.

The organization also celebrates regional heritage through public art, including murals in Superior depicting Catrina, Frida, and military themes. These works, created by artists including Jen Suarez and Myron Starr, can be found at local community locations.

Copper Roots 177 relies on donations to help cover the increasing costs of its celebration and keep the event going. Community members can contribute online, share ideas for bringing more culture to the area, or get involved in making the celebration bigger and better. Through events, art, and community participation, Copper Roots 177 encourages people to remember the past while strengthening cultural connections for the future.
