Copper State Combat

Copper State Combat is a mixed martial arts training destination in Tolleson, Arizona, serving people across the West Valley. Its mission is to offer a safe, inclusive environment where participants of different ages, backgrounds, and experience levels can develop their skills and work toward personal goals. The gym welcomes aspiring fighters as well as people interested in learning MMA fundamentals and self-defense, emphasizing expert instruction, individualized attention, discipline, and confidence.

Its scheduled programs include adult MMA, sparring, youth boxing, youth wrestling, kids’ combat classes, and beginner teen combat classes. These offerings give younger participants and adults opportunities to train in different combat sports and build practical skills. Copper State Combat is led by instructor Jose Palencia Jr.

The organization has announced that, for now, training sessions are being held exclusively at the owner’s home gym as it works toward raising capital for a future commercial training space. Members can consult the schedule and contact the gym to learn more about sessions and booking.
