Copsac is a renowned clinical research unit dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric asthma. With a mission to become an international center of excellence, Copsac conducts long-term studies through their mother-child cohorts, including Copsac 2000, Copsac 2010, Copsac SEVERE, and Copsac ACUTE. These cohorts enable a translational clinical research approach, combining deep phenotyping and exposure assessment to gain a comprehensive understanding of childhood asthma.

The collaborative nature of Copsac allows for the availability of valuable data, including clinical assessments, exposure information, OMICS analyses, and biological samples, which are open to collaborations. To disseminate their findings, Copsac publishes peer-reviewed papers and supports various research projects and alliances such as COPSYCH, HEDIMED Consortium, EDIAQI Consortium, and EAGLE Consortium. Tragically, Professor Hans Bisgaard, the founder of Copsac, recently passed away.
