About Coalition for Operational Research on NTDs
The Coalition for Operational Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR-NTD) is a pivotal multi-donor research consortium dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness of programs aimed at controlling and eliminating neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). With a focus on five significant NTDs, including lymphatic filariasis and schistosomiasis, COR-NTD collaborates with partners to conduct operational research that addresses critical challenges faced by national programs. By aligning research efforts with the specific needs of these programs, COR-NTD strives to improve mass drug administration effectiveness, optimize disease assessments, and accelerate progress towards elimination goals.
The organization plays a vital role in fostering collaboration between researchers and program implementers, ensuring that the insights gained from research directly inform practical implementation and evaluation strategies. Funded by prominent organizations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, COR-NTD is committed to advancing public health and ultimately working towards the eradication of NTDs globally
