About Coral Catch
Coral Catch is a pioneering NGO based in Indonesia, dedicated to empowering local women in marine conservation through its award-winning coral restoration scholarship program. Recognizing the critical decline of coral reefs and the persistent gender gap in this field, Coral Catch aims to cultivate a network of 100 female leaders committed to protecting and restoring Indonesia's vital marine ecosystems.
The nine-week scholarship program equips women with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in coral restoration techniques, enabling them to lead impactful conservation projects. Graduates of this program, affectionately dubbed "Superwomen," are making significant contributions to marine science and activism.
In addition to scholarships, Coral Catch promotes community involvement and sustainable practices to foster awareness about the importance of coral reefs, which support marine biodiversity, provide livelihoods, and are crucial for global oxygen production. Recognized for its innovative approach to philanthropy and marine conservation, Coral Catch invites support through sponsorship and collaborative partnerships, striving for a future where women play a leading role in safeguarding ocean health.
