Core Physio

Core Physio is the practice of Lindsey Skinner (née Craig), offering physiotherapy and rehabilitation for horses and riders in Auckland, including mobile services from Wainui to Henderson and a clinic in Muriwai. Lindsey has more than 20 years of experience as a qualified human physiotherapist and holds a master’s degree in animal physiotherapy. Her work focuses mainly on equine patients, from performance horses in dressage, show jumping, eventing and showing to pleasure horses, while she also treats a small number of human clients.

Equine care supports recovery from injury and helps maintain condition, mobility and performance. Following an assessment, Lindsey develops a treatment plan with goals and practical advice to help horses return to full function or stay in peak condition. Techniques include joint and soft-tissue mobilisation, dry needling, proprioceptive retraining, dynamic stretching and strengthening. When needed, she collaborates with a horse’s veterinarian, farrier and saddle fitter. Rider physiotherapy and Pilates-informed support are also available, with attention to core strength, stability and balance to help riders maintain an effective position in the saddle.
