Founded in 2018, Core Capital is the result of a partnership between Jason Gaisano, Ken Ngo, and Carlo Chen-Delantar with Pan-Asian VC, Gobi Partners. Headquartered in Manila, Core Capital strategically invests in tech-enabled early-stage startups across the Philippines through the Gobi-Core Philippines Fund (Gobi-Core).

They have already invested in startups such as Tier One, kumu, and Cloudeats, which have become local household names. Core Capital's unique position allows them to guide and support their local champions across Gobi Partners' 15 countries' ASEAN presence. They have a track record of success and were officially accredited as a Co-Investment Partner of the Philippine government's Startup Venture Fund (SVF) in early 2023.

The SVF allows them to match investments in startups based in the Philippines. With a focus on emerging and underserved markets, Gobi Partners has been supporting tech entrepreneurs since its founding in 2002.
