About Cork Arts Theatre | Cork
Cork Arts Theatre is a small and intimate theatre located in Cork, Ireland, with a seating capacity of 100. They offer a diverse range of captivating productions throughout the year, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. Recently, the theatre underwent a renovation program to prioritize the safety and comfort of their patrons, which was made possible through funding from the Government of Ireland's Project Ireland 2040 investment fund.
In addition to their regular performances, Cork Arts Theatre also runs a unique program called CATALYST. This program invites early career theatre artists and young production companies based in Cork to showcase their work at the theatre. Selected artists receive various benefits, including a stipend of €1,500 towards production costs/artists fees, full access to the theatre for rehearsals and performances, technical support, and box office revenue from their performances.
This collaboration between Cork Arts Theatre and The Everyman, supported by Cork City Council Arts Office, aims to provide a platform for emerging talent and foster their growth in a professional context.
