Corsican Rugby celebrates the growth of rugby across Corsica and the people building its future. The sport has developed from a small network of clubs into a community serving players of different ages and experience levels, with a strong focus on local identity, inclusion, and teamwork. Since Corsica gained its own development committee under the national rugby federation in 2001, local efforts have expanded to include training, youth competitions, and stronger connections between clubs. The island achieved full territorial recognition in 2008.

A central part of Corsican Rugby’s work is introducing children to the game through school programs and local clubs. Offerings include introductory sessions for young players, structured competitions for teenagers, development pathways for talented athletes, and events and clinics that bring families, coaches, and volunteers together. Clubs welcome beginners as well as experienced players, while promoting safe participation and respect. Rooted in Corsica’s towns and communities, the initiative presents rugby as more than competition: it is a way to foster belonging, shared effort, and island pride.
