Confederation of Organisations in Road Transport Enforcement

CORTE, the Confederation of Organisations in Road Transport Enforcement, is an international non-profit organisation focused on road transport. It began in 1997 as an informal group of enforcement authorities and was formally established as an organisation in 2005. Today, it provides a platform for more than 75 national enforcement authorities, transport associations and transport companies. Working across Europe and beyond, CORTE fosters cooperation among its members, European institutions and the United Nations.

The organisation supports research, the development of regulations and the harmonisation of rules, while promoting smart enforcement practices. Its work aims to contribute to road mobility that is safe, socially fair and sustainable. CORTE’s activities include working groups, guidance and research, bringing members together to address shared issues in transport enforcement. The organisation also hosts meetings, workshops and conferences on topics such as driver posting and digital freight transport information. Membership provides access to exclusive content and opportunities to engage with CORTE’s network.
