CORUM

CORUM is a Malaysian nonprofit organization and the official voice for people affected by colorectal cancer, including patients and survivors. Based in Kuala Lumpur, it works to promote awareness, early detection, prevention, and improved quality of life through education, community outreach, and advocacy. Its resources include information about colorectal cancer, videos, articles, frequently asked questions, and survivor stories to help people understand the disease and navigate their experiences.

CORUM provides emotional, practical, and informational support for patients and caregivers facing diagnosis and treatment. Its trained peer-support volunteers, many of whom are survivors, share firsthand experience and offer one-to-one encouragement. The organization also helps people living with a stoma with guidance on stoma management. Through public campaigns, events, workshops, and community education, CORUM encourages screening and strengthens solidarity among those affected. It also offers free screenings and creates opportunities for collaboration and sponsorship. Recognized and supported by the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons, CORUM aims to help individuals feel informed and supported throughout their cancer journey.
