Established in 1982, it brings together over 50 stone production companies, including leading global industrial groups, small and medium-sized excavation and transformation firms, and specialized artisan workshops. The consortium's activities range from excavation and transformation to artistic processing, with a focus on delivering high-quality marble products.

Cosmave is committed to values such as synergy, assistance, dynamism, solidity, and flexibility. They publish a bi-monthly magazine called Versilia Produce, which highlights the latest industry trends and developments. Additionally, Cosmave organizes various events and initiatives, including exhibitions and discussions on topics like non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
