Cospetrogaz is an organization located on Avenue de la République in Dakar, Senegal. They specialize in providing guidance and support in the management of the country's oil and gas resources. Led by the President of the Republic, SE Macky Sall, Cospetrogaz was established in 2016 to assist in defining and implementing policies related to the development of petroleum and gas projects.

Their primary mission includes assisting the President in defining, supervising, evaluating, and controlling the implementation of the national policy for oil and gas development. Additionally, they support the government in implementing strategies, programs, and projects for the promotion and development of these resources. Cospetrogaz also plays a crucial role in validating all studies related to gas and oil reserves, as well as the development of these deposits.

With a dedicated Secretariat led by a Secretary Permanent, Cospetrogaz operates autonomously under the direct authority of the President. Their responsibilities include preparing meeting agendas, monitoring the sector's development strategies, and providing regular reports to the President.
