About COTA Victoria
COTA Victoria is the leading not-for-profit organization representing the interests and rights of people aged 50+ in Victoria. With a history of 70 years, COTA Victoria has been at the forefront of shaping government, corporate, and community thinking about the positive aspects of aging. Their primary focus is on promoting opportunities for older Victorians and protecting their rights.
As a member-based organization, COTA Victoria is run by, for, and with older Victorians. They fund their activities through the support of government, members, philanthropic trusts, businesses, and the public. COTA Victoria has an experienced Board and highly qualified staff in Melbourne, as well as over 100 community volunteers across Victoria.
COTA Victoria's strategic priorities include maintaining their leadership in policy development and advocacy, managing and expanding health and wellbeing projects and services for older Victorians, and providing information and support to prevent elder abuse through their program Seniors Rights Victoria. They also aim to improve organizational efficiency and sustainability through increased public awareness, knowledge management, income generation, and volunteer involvement. For more information, you can visit their website and access their annual reports and financial statements.
