About Council of Marine Professional Associates -COMPASS
COMPASS is the Council of Marine Professional Associates in Canada, established to promote the development and participation of its members in the marine transportation industry. Founded in 2008, COMPASS represents private-sector businesses and public-sector organizations involved in marine transportation activities, such as design, operations, support, and consultancy. The organization aims to enhance dialogue and information-sharing among its members, advocate their interests to industry and government decision-makers, and contribute to initiatives that support the development of the marine transportation sector.
COMPASS also seeks to improve the public perception of the industry and address human resources issues within it. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, representing various marine transportation stakeholders.
