**Countdown Improv Festival**
The Countdown Improv Festival is Tampa's premier annual comedy event, taking place from August 6-10, 2025, in the vibrant Ybor City neighborhood. Founded by accomplished NYC improvisers Justin Peters and Kelly Buttermore, this nonprofit festival offers an exceptional experience tailored for performers, ensuring they enjoy both their shows and the overall ambiance. Recognized for its commitment to inclusivity, the festival does not spotlight headliners, valuing every participant equally.
Attendees can expect an engaging lineup of top-tier improv comedians, memorable social events, and a variety of perks—including stylish festival T-shirts, curated swag bags, and complimentary food and beverages in the green rooms. The festival is designed to be welcoming and fun, creating an environment where performers and guests feel appreciated and empowered.
The Countdown Improv Festival is not just a showcase of comedy; it’s a celebration of community with workshops and interactions that elevate the improvisation experience in one of the most culturally rich parts of Florida. Come join us for an unforgettable festival!
