Counting on Each Other

Counting on Each Other, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Maumelle, Arkansas, with a focus on supporting older adults and strengthening community connections. Founded by a local advisory committee, the organization supports the goals of the Maumelle Center on the Lake and advocates for seniors’ physical and mental well-being through outreach, funding, and community programs.

Its work includes financial assistance for the Center’s facilities, transportation, equipment, activities, and membership scholarships. The organization also supports health initiatives for low-income seniors. A dental care program, funded in part by a $100,000 Delta Dental Community Grant, has helped more than 250 seniors receive dental services. Its Eye Care Initiative works with local providers to help identify eye conditions and provide needed glasses.

Community fundraising includes a spring and fall shredding event, which promotes document security while raising funds for senior services, and the Find a Treasure Store, which sells donated goods. The organization welcomes volunteers and accepts tax-deductible cash, merchandise, and in-kind business service donations to sustain its programs and support seniors’ dignity and independence.
