Couple-A-Bucks

Couple-A-Bucks Charters is a backcountry fishing charter based at Whale Harbor Marina in Islamorada, Florida. Led by second-generation captain John, who has fished the Florida Keys and operated from the marina for more than 50 years, the charter offers trips across the region’s flats, channels and backcountry waters, including areas of Everglades National Park. Anglers can target tarpon, bonefish, permit, redfish, snook, sea trout and other local species, including snapper, jacks and sharks.

Tarpon trips are available in the daytime or evening, while backcountry outings offer opportunities to fish shallow flats, grass beds and deeper mangrove cuts. The experience can suit beginners and experienced anglers: guests may fish with live shrimp and a popping cork or cast bucktails, jigs, plugs and lures. Charters accommodate up to four anglers, with full-day, three-quarter-day, half-day and evening tarpon options.

Bait, tackle, a cooler with ice and fishing licenses are furnished. Guests should bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, lunch and drinks
