Course des Crêtes du Pays Basque is a sporting and community event organised by ASC Napurrak, a sports association based in Espelette. Established in 1974, Napurrak has three sections: athletics, pelota and traditional Basque strength sports. The event has welcomed thousands of runners for more than 40 years, combining competition with a festive atmosphere and routes through the Basque countryside.
The programme offers a range of activities for different interests and abilities, including 7 km, 15 km, 21 km and 30 km races, a 7.5 km night race, a free 15.5 km hike, a 16.7 km food-themed walk and a 15 km Nordic walk. The 7 km race is non-competitive. The organisation also provides event information on registration, race rules, results, accommodation, transport, showers and the weekend programme. Registration uses differentiated pricing and is designed to give participants a choice while supporting more sustainable event organisation. To reduce waste and protect natural spaces, participants must bring their own cup, bottle or other container for drinks.
