Cover Art Archive

The Cover Art Archive, a collaborative effort between the Internet Archive and MusicBrainz, is dedicated to providing organized and easily accessible cover art images to the online community. Curated by the MusicBrainz community, the images undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure accuracy and quality, free from any spam. Contributing to the archive is encouraged, and individuals can create a MusicBrainz account to follow the submission guidelines.

The Internet Archive's Cover Art Archive page showcases recent additions to the collection. Furthermore, MusicBrainz offers API documentation for cover art retrieval using a release MBID, along with client libraries such as libcoverart and coverartarchive-api for C-based and Java platforms, respectively. All images are directly uploaded from users' computers to Internet Archive servers and are copyrighted by their owners.
