Cowboy Fast Draw

The Cowboy Fast Draw Association (CFDA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the sport of cowboy fast draw, bringing participants together around safety, camaraderie, fair play, and friendly competition. Its guiding principle is “safety first, fun second, and competition third,” reflecting an emphasis on sportsmanship and the values of “The Cowboy Way.”

The CFDA supports members at every level, from newcomers learning the sport to experienced competitors. Its website offers membership options and renewals, information about affiliated clubs, event schedules and results, and rules and regulations. Educational resources include introductory videos, a youth training program, and training materials for range masters and range officers. The association also recognizes participants through its Hall of Champions, Hall of Recognition, and annual awards, and offers the Shoot for the Stars Scholarship Program.

Members and visitors can follow sanctioned competitions, including the Fastest Gun Alive World Championship, and read the Gunslinger’s Gazette. For equipment and related merchandise, the CFDA directs visitors to the Gunslinger’s Emporium, which offers targets, timers, holsters, apparel, and logo items.
