The Cowichan Foundation is a non-profit registered society focused on the needs of the Cowichan Valley and on helping build a brighter future for its community. For more than 30 years, it has supported local causes through charitable giving and education awards. Its annual contribution to Vancouver Island University includes six memorial scholarships or bursaries and two Special Recognition Awards, each valued at $1,000, to assist post-secondary students from the Cowichan Valley.
The foundation also supports community initiatives, including the Bryan Bass Memorial, Cowichan Wheels, the E. J. Hughes Memorial Project and the Kinsol Trestle.
Its website provides information about these causes, its board of directors and ways to donate. Contributions can be made in memory of loved ones, creating a lasting tribute while supporting education and community needs. The foundation also runs the MC Visual Poetry Contest, sharing contest information, entry criteria, archives and past winners.
Through scholarships, awards, projects and donations, Cowichan Foundation connects community generosity with practical local support
