Cox Science Center and Aquarium is a renowned brand serving Palm Beach County since 1961. Our mission is to Open Every Mind to Science, and we are committed to providing exciting science programming and tech ventures to schools, visitors, and campers. With a focus on computer coding, robotics, and other cutting-edge educational programs, we have expanded our reach and now serve over 300,000 students, teachers, and visitors annually.

Over the past decade, we have made significant renovations to our campus, including the reconstruction of our 5,000 square foot Hall of Discovery, the upgrade of our planetarium, the addition of an early childhood exhibit, a modernized theater, a new science laboratory, and improved amenities. We have also added engaging outdoor attractions such as an 18-hole miniature golf Conservation Course and the Fisher Family Science Trail, which features 15 exhibits including a Physics Forest, FPL SolarScape, interactive splash pad, gem panning station, and dinosaur walk. In partnership with the FAU Brain Institute, we have developed the most advanced exhibit on the human brain in the world, called Journey Through the Human Brain.

Additionally, we have recently constructed an open-air amphitheater on our Science Trail, where guests can enjoy daily live science shows, trivia sessions, and concerts. Exciting expansion plans are underway, thanks to a generous $20 million lead gift from Howard and Wendy Cox, which serves as the foundation for a $45 million capital expansion campaign. This campaign will bring the new Cox Science Center and Aquarium to life with expanded exhibit and programming spaces, including one of Florida's largest aquariums.

Construction is expected to begin in 2023, and the grand opening is set for 2026. We invite the community to support our mission and be a part of our transformative journey.
