The Clube Português de Canicultura (CPC) is Portugal’s national canine organisation and a full member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale. With 129 years of service to canine culture, it supports the responsible breeding, registration, evaluation and promotion of dogs. Its services include litter registration, breed confirmation, reproductive-breeder assessments and artificial insemination records, alongside information about pedigrees, breed standards, choosing a puppy and finding a breeder.

The CPC organises and supports national and international dog shows, breed-specialist exhibitions and annual awards, and publishes schedules, results and certificates. It also oversees or provides information on canine activities including hunting trials, agility, obedience, IGP, Mondioring and water-dog tests. The organisation presents Portuguese breeds and FCI-recognised breeds, and provides resources on judges and canine health, including hip dysplasia and BOAS-related assessments. Through its work with affiliated clubs and events across Portugal, the CPC serves breeders, exhibitors, judges and dog owners, while helping preserve the country’s canine heritage and supporting the development and welfare of dogs.
