The Child Protection Center (CPC) is a nationally accredited child advocacy center that has been protecting children's voices since 1996. They offer a range of services to support children and families in need. CPC provided 839 forensic interviews, 660 advocacy sessions with caregivers, and completed 1,160 therapy sessions in 2022.
Their team of dedicated professionals ensures that children have a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and receive the help they need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, rates of child abuse and neglect have increased due to the crisis and economic insecurity. However, reports to Missouri's Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline have declined.
With children staying at home, they are isolated from the places where adults often look out for their safety, such as schools and childcare facilities. CPC is committed to providing resources and support to help prevent and address child abuse and neglect. They offer services such as forensic interviews, family advocacy, mental health support, and prevention training.
You can contribute to their important work by donating or attending their upcoming events. Let's join together to protect and support our children. Contact CPC at 2940 Main Street Kansas City, MO 64108.
