The Comparative Poetics and Comparative Literary Studies (СПСЛ) project is a comprehensive information system dedicated to exploring and analyzing translated poetic works in the Russian language, alongside their foreign sources. This innovative platform features an extensive database divided into four interconnected subsystems: the "Corpus," which encompasses translations of poetry, their originals, and intermediary translations; the "Library," containing editions of translations and original texts as well as scholarly literature; the "Encyclopedia," offering biographical and bibliographical information about poets, translators, and researchers; and the "Thesaurus," which collects terminology relevant to these disciplines.
The project's current focus is on Russian-Roman literary connections, characterized by formal text descriptions through metrics and stanza structure. SPСЛ supports multilingual accessibility, featuring interfaces in Russian, English, and Spanish, with plans to introduce French and Italian in the future. Initiated with the backing of the Russian Scientific Foundation, the project aims to advance research in comparative poetics and the dynamics of rhythmic borrowing in Russian verse.
