URCPIE Hauts-de-France

URCPIE Hauts-de-France is the regional union of the Permanent Centres for Environmental Initiatives (CPIE) in northern France. Founded in 2015, this nonprofit association brings together the expertise, local knowledge and experience of six CPIE organisations across the region. Its work connects communities with environmental and sustainability issues through a yearly programme of projects and activities designed for a broad audience.

The union shares information and practical resources on topics including climate change, water conservation, marine flooding, sustainable food and health and the environment. Its publications and documentary dossiers highlight local initiatives, explain environmental challenges and offer ideas for action. Resources include guidance on reducing water use, improving food in collective catering and helping families navigate children’s screen use. URCPIE Hauts-de-France also organises public engagement initiatives, such as a participatory survey focused on the European kingfisher, and provides newsletters, an event agenda and a documentary resource collection. Through collaboration among its member CPIEs, the organisation supports awareness, learning and local responses to environmental issues across Hauts-de-France.
