The California Poultry Federation (CPF) is a trade association representing the state's turkey and chicken producers and marketers. Established in 1990, the CPF advocates for all sectors of the industry, including growers, hatchers, breeders, and processors. Additionally, the CPF represents the California Squab Producers, the largest squab processing facility globally, as well as ducks, game birds, and other meat poultry.

The federation's mission is to promote the California Poultry Industry's responsible production and marketing of high-quality poultry food products in a competitive manner. The CPF actively engages with government agencies and legislative bodies to foster positive working relationships and ensure the continued success of the poultry industry in California. The organization is governed by a 20-member Board of Directors, with an Executive Committee providing guidance to the association's President.

CPF holds an annual conference to celebrate achievements and discuss marketing, government affairs, and future trends for the industry. The CPF is also involved in government affairs, advocating for the poultry industry's interests through education and communication with legislators. Furthermore, CPF operates as the official headquarters for the California Poultry Health Board, administering the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP).

Through this program, the CPF works closely with federal and state agencies to ensure the health and safety of poultry flocks, enabling the transportation of poultry and eggs across state lines and for export
