About CPLFoundation
The Chicago Public Library Foundation is dedicated to creating pathways to learning, creativity, and civic engagement for every Chicagoan. By investing in resources that transform lives and communities, they accelerate the potential of the public library. With the support of the Library Foundation community, they are committed to building a stronger and more equitable Chicago.
The Foundation partners with the Chicago Public Library to drive equitable access to learning, creativity, and digital literacy resources. Their work is focused on three overarching impact priorities: closing the academic opportunity gap, activating creativity and connection, and bridging the digital divide. Through donor support, the Library Foundation has raised over $4 million and served over 172,000 library users through donor-funded programs.
They have also distributed 80,000 Grab and Go activity kits and offered 14,600 virtual and in-person programs for all ages.
