The Centro de Pesquisa do Pantanal (CPP) is a nonprofit civil society organization founded in 2002 and based in Cuiabá, Brazil. It works to advance the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of wetlands, with a priority focus on the Pantanal. Established through consultation between the scientific community and civil society, CPP operates as a network, connecting government and nongovernmental institutions to combine expertise and support local communities.
CPP promotes research and knowledge sharing, develops human resources, and helps generate evidence for public policies that encourage the sustainable use of wetlands. Its work addresses biodiversity conservation and management, water-resource management, and interactions between upland and floodplain systems. The organization also aims to share knowledge for wetland conservation worldwide and to serve as a forum for exchanging experience and building capacity.
Through its projects and partnerships, CPP supports activities related to conservation and sustainable development. Its website provides project information, reports, publications, books, booklets, institutional documents, and procurement notices, including opportunities for suppliers and consultants.
