My Science is led by Professor Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, a distinguished scientist known for her innovative research in physics and astrophysics. With academic achievements including degrees from Harvard, Santa Cruz, and the University of Waterloo, she has carved a unique niche at the intersection of theoretical particle physics, cosmology, and astrophysics, specializing in topics such as dark matter and axions. Her commitment to developing a deeper understanding of the cosmos drives her work, supported by funding from prominent organizations like the Department of Energy and NASA.

In addition to her scientific endeavors, Professor Prescod-Weinstein explores the sociocultural dimensions of science through her formulation of Black Feminist Science, Technology, and Society Studies. She is actively involved in initiatives that aim to decolonize scientific knowledge and illuminate the interplay between social phenomena and scientific understanding. Through her various platforms, including publications, talks, and a blog, she shares her insights and engages with the broader community, making complex scientific concepts accessible to general audiences.
