Safety is at the core of everything we do at the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC). Established in 2011, CPSAC is a national, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting child passenger safety through public education, advocacy, and training. Our members, spread across Canada, work tirelessly to ensure that children are safely transported.
Our organization is governed by an elected Board of Directors, and we follow bylaws and policies to ensure effective leadership. In 2017, we developed a renewed mission, vision, and goals to guide our work over the next five years. Our mission is to provide Canadians with the skills and knowledge to safely transport children, while our vision is to be the leading Canadian authority on child passenger safety through education and advocacy.
To achieve our goals, we aim to become the largest child passenger training organization in Canada and the go-to source for child passenger safety best practices. Our Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) Training course is endorsed by Parachute Canada, a testament to its quality and effectiveness. We are extremely proud of our dedicated board of directors, who have donated countless hours to improve child passenger safety.
Additionally, we have valuable partnerships with organizations such as Child Safety Link, Saskatchewan Prevention Institute, and Transport Services Branch, Department of Highways and Public Works, Government of Yukon, among others. We also receive support from Clek Inc., Goodbaby International / Evenflo Company Inc., Nuna Canada, and other manufacturers in the form of training materials and resources. Our ongoing initiatives, including CPS Week and various car seat clinics, are made possible thanks to the generous contribution of car seats as prizes from our supporting partners.
