Cardinal Pediatric Therapy Services

Cardinal Pediatric Therapy Services (CPTS) is a child- and family-centered pediatric physical therapy practice serving children ages 0–18 in Hampton Roads and surrounding areas. Led by pediatric physical therapist Blair Sweeney, PT, DPT, the practice provides personalized care in children’s natural environments, including the home, school, parks, and other community settings. Flexible scheduling helps families find a time that works for their child and caregivers.

CPTS supports movement, confidence, mobility, and participation in everyday routines. Its approach considers each child’s development and the factors that can affect gross motor skills and developmental progress. Services include home- and community-based physical therapy and Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), an intensive, play-based approach for children with motor delays. Blair is a DMI Level C certified practitioner; the method is designed to encourage functional postural responses and support motor development.

The practice also works with parents and caregivers, offering guidance they can use in daily activities.
