The Macmillan Ripon Carol Concert is a cherished annual event, founded in 1997 by Lady Zetland, aimed at supporting Macmillan Cancer Support. Inspired by the renowned Macmillan Guards Chapel Carol Concert in London, this festive gathering has become a highlight of the Christmas season in North Yorkshire. Organized by a dedicated team of volunteers and supported by local businesses, the concert features a diverse program of music and readings, complemented by renowned guests such as HRH King Charles III and Bear Grylls. Taking place in the majestic Ripon Cathedral, attendees enjoy liqueurs and mince pies, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Over the past 25 years, the concert has raised an impressive £513,246, directly funding essential cancer support services across Yorkshire. Proceeds contribute to the operational costs of care centres, allowing Macmillan to provide vital resources and support for those affected by cancer.
