About Massachusetts Cranberries
Massachusetts Cranberries, represented by the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association (CCCGA), is dedicated to the success and sustainability of their members and the cranberry industry. Established in 1888, the CCCGA is one of the oldest farmers' organizations in the country, with approximately 330 growers throughout Massachusetts. This unity gives growers a strong collective voice in promoting the industry.
The CCCGA offers a range of support and resources to cranberry growers. Their professional staff assists with everyday challenges, regulatory compliance, and provides professional development seminars. They also organize the annual Massachusetts Cranberry Harvest Festival in October, a celebration of this iconic fruit.
In addition, the CCCGA invests in cranberry research to improve the efficiency and environmental compatibility of farms. They are committed to preserving open spaces and clean water crucial for cranberry cultivation, especially in the face of urbanization. Membership in the CCCGA is voluntary and based on a farmer's crop assessment.
Businesses and organizations can join as Sustaining Members, while individuals who support the association's ideals can join as Associate Members. With their dedication to growers and sustainable practices, Massachusetts Cranberries and the CCCGA continue to contribute to the thriving cranberry industry
