About Children at Risk Action Network
Children at Risk Action Network (CRANE) is a dynamic and collaborative organization based in Kampala, Uganda. Since its establishment in 2003, CRANE has been dedicated to bringing positive change to the lives of vulnerable children. The network comprises over 140 organizations, schools, and churches, with a collective workforce of 3000+ individuals.
CRANE's mission is to connect people, build quality capacity, deliver collaborative action, and maximize children's contributions. They work tirelessly to ensure that children are safe, well, and thriving, according to God's plan for them. The network focuses on various areas such as maternal and child health, education, children with special needs, and empowerment.
Through their joint initiatives and partnerships, CRANE has made a significant impact on the lives of children in Kampala. Over 64,000 children have directly benefited from member activities, while hundreds of thousands more have been supported and nurtured. CRANE's network allows individual organizations to maintain autonomy while fostering collaboration for greater impact.
To achieve their vision, CRANE emphasizes safe quality education, the creation of safe spaces, the promotion of loving families, and the establishment of safe organizations for children. By working together and pooling resources, CRANE and its partners ensure that more children receive the support they need, leading to lasting transformations in their lives.
