About Scottish Crannog Centre
The Scottish Crannog Centre is a nationally treasured brand located on the picturesque banks of Loch Tay in Scotland. As a museum, the Centre offers visitors a unique and immersive experience by interpreting the lives of Crannog Dwellers who resided on the Loch over 2,500 years ago. Through guided tours, hands-on demonstrations, and a museum showcasing ancient artifacts, visitors gain deep insights into the skills and technologies of the past.
The Centre is currently in the process of rebuilding its post-fire Crannog. In addition to regular visits, the Centre also offers workshops, group bookings, and online workshops. For those interested in Scotland's heritage, volunteering opportunities are available, allowing individuals to contribute to the preservation and presentation of the country's history.
