Crawford Family Wines is a unique and highly focused family-run winery, located in Santa Barbara County. Founded by Mark and Wendy Horvath, the winery aims to showcase the exceptional fruit from the county's esteemed local vineyards. They follow the garagiste style of winemaking, producing small lots of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that reflect the distinct characteristics of the Sta.
Rita Hills vineyards. With a commitment to authenticity and a minimalist approach, Crawford Family Wines lets the fruit speak for itself. Winemaker Mark Crawford Horvath brings a wealth of experience and passion to the craft.
After gaining knowledge from renowned sommelier Emmanuel Kimiji, Mark immersed himself in the wine business and honed his skills at Carmenet Winery in Sonoma. He then became part of the Santa Barbara County wine scene, working at Babcock Winery before starting a successful partnership with Kenneth Gummere to produce exceptional Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Grenache. Today, Crawford Family Wines is a true showcase of meticulously farmed vineyards, including a small Rhone program from the Ballard Canyon appellation.
